Le Répertoire - Le Mas du Venaissin

The house, pool, and views made this beautiful home the heart of some unforgettable Provence memories. A huge thank you to Margot, our rep, for making us feel so welcome. We’ll definitely return, and I can’t recommend this home or company enough!

We enjoyed our seventh June stay at Maison Cécile, formerly called Le Mas du Venaissin. I’ll leave out the points I covered in my 2022 review. One big improvement this year was the high-speed Starlink Internet. It was nearly flawless, and the home WiFi worked throughout the house and outside, including at the covered poolside tables where we ate dinner almost every night. That made a real difference on this extended stay, since I had to work some days, though I’d encourage visitors to enjoy the surroundings instead. The old wooden roof over the seating by the pool and outdoor kitchen has been replaced with a metal one. The bees and wasps that used to seem to get in through the gaps in the wood were gone. We had a few nights of thunderstorms in the first week, bringing much-needed water to the hillsides and farms nearby. One night there was a surprise hailstorm, with enough hail to build up on the ground. That was the only time the Starlink connection briefly went out. If you want a modern luxury retreat, Le Répertoire has other houses in the area that we’ve seen and that might suit you better. But for a classic French farmhouse, Maison Cécile is a great fit. You can take the short drive, or even walk, into Pernes in the morning for fresh croissants, shop at the almost daily nearby farmers markets, then cook at the outdoor kitchen and BBQ, with an indoor kitchen too. The house is private, on a hilltop at the end of a quarter-mile unpaved road, surrounded only by farmland and forest. Some pictures from last month.

The home was beautiful, and the Le Repertoire team were a dream to work with. They took care of every need and made sure our stay went perfectly. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to book again.
