The room was the worst part. It smelled foul, and what looked like smeared poo was on the walls, furniture, and even some of the bedding. The bathroom had dried smears and grime too, making it unusable. I went straight to reception, but got indifference and a vague promise that housekeeping would check. No refund, no alternative room, and no urgency. The rest of the hotel didn't inspire confidence either. The lobby smelled stale, the carpets were visibly stained, and the staff seemed to treat basic hospitality as a bother. This was unsanitary and completely unacceptable. I can't believe the place calls itself a hotel, and I’d advise people to stay elsewhere unless they’re willing to gamble with their comfort, health, and basic hygiene.

The breakfast was as good as what you get at Premier type hotels, and it was free. My room was clean and had a nice view. The hotel sits on a quiet side street, just a one minute walk from the heart of town, so the location was perfect. I stayed two nights in early March. The receptionist greeted me warmly and spoke very good English, which I appreciated as an American who has only recently started learning French.

Supper was good. Breakfast was average, and there was no Wi-Fi at all.

Good coffee, and the rooms are very good for a hostel. Check-in started 15 minutes late, but the staff were helpful after that.

We had decent food and a good breakfast, though the meals weren't great for celiacs. There were no towels, but we had brought our own. The shower was surprisingly good, except the water ran straight onto the floor. We were there with school, and the fire alarm went off twice. We evacuated the first time, but didn't see any staff. When it sounded again, nobody explained what was happening. It was a bit concerning, though nobody was hurt. I think? The stay wasn't bad.
