The garden was so lovely that we wanted to linger there, and the pool was great for either a swim or just relaxing. Breakfast was in a class of its own, with local specialties and fresh fruit every day. Francis also shared useful tips for things to do in the area. My wife and I were lucky to spend four nights at this wonderful place, and we definitely wished we could have stayed longer. The house and rooms are decorated with real taste.

The outdoor jacuzzi was fantastic, especially in 6-degree weather with the water at 40 degrees. It was a shame the rain kept us from enjoying the beautiful place more. We got a warm welcome and a generous breakfast in a cosy atmosphere. Coffee and tea were available beside the rooms. Thank you.

The room was lovely, the bathroom magnificent, and the property itself is beautiful and peaceful, with a real change-of-scene feel. We stayed two nights and used the sauna and jacuzzi. Still, it feels as though the place has lost some of its soul. The owners seem to have handed management to employees. A garden area is under construction and looks abandoned, even though it's one of the first things you see on the way to the rooms. The curtains on the poolside beds are torn, and the staff seem tired or disheartened. Rules are posted everywhere, perhaps too many, and it starts to feel patronizing and even oppressive. Breakfast didn't match what earlier reviews led us to expect. Nothing seems homemade now, the choice is limited, and there's very little savory food. We didn't have a bad stay, but at this price and advertised standard, it wasn't exceptional either. This is difficult work, and I imagine it wears people down quickly. In the end, that comes through in how guests are welcomed.

Everything was as pictured, and the setting was peaceful with all the comforts we expected. Breakfast was fabulous, with a huge spread of different dishes. We had a very pleasant stay and would be glad to come back 👌
