The bison safari was the biggest letdown. We drove to one spot in the pasture beside the bison and listened to the guide for about 45 minutes, then did the same thing at another spot for 15 minutes. He tried to accommodate us since we don't speak French, but only about 10% of the talk was in English, which made it frustrating. Our kids got bored, and being stuck on the truck, we soon ran out of ways to keep them quiet. A special mention to the woman beside us, who kept shushing and complaining whenever the kids spoke. The hut itself was lovely, private, and surrounded by nature, though the pasture right in front of it was fenced off during our stay. Perhaps they could rotate the pastures so that doesn't happen. Its steep stairs make it difficult with small children. There's a gate at the top, but its weak magnet does little except give a false sense of security. The burger was good, but the spiral fries were soggy. At 12 EUR, it felt a little expensive. They seem like good people who care about what they do, and I mean them no harm, but I wouldn't return, especially with little kids.

We've stayed twice with our two fairly young kids, and we're already sure we'll come back. Gloria and Robin are wonderful hosts, and the place is just right for switching off. Ask about the bison safari too, the animals are amazing.

It was really quiet, though we didn't see any bison. The location is lovely, but there were just five chairs for six sleeping places.

We had a roomy, well-equipped chalet with lovely views of the magnificent American bison. Its two floors mean it could work for a larger family than ours. It also made a comfortable base for exploring the area. With better weather, we would have made more use of the covered desk and the other outdoor facilities. We'd certainly think about returning.

Really lovely people and a great experience. Food was 10/10.
