Les Gîtes De Yayou

The pool and jacuzzi are available 24/7, and the whole stay felt completely relaxed in this stress-free residence. It has a family atmosphere, lively in the daytime but quiet enough later in the evening to unwind.

Françoise and Christian deserve a special mention. Even when they’re ironing in 38-degree heat, they keep that contagious smile and bring so much determination, kindness, and good humor to their work. It’s a quality you don’t see often enough. Bravo to them. We were welcomed by Pierre with a smile and a gift, then shown around. The place was very clean, and the air conditioning was a relief. Everything we needed was there, from balls and rackets to barbecues and charcoal. My nine-year-old son only came back to sleep, and the children were great. I’ll admit the August electricity bill going up was probably my fault 🤣. The pool area has a thoughtfully designed floor, but the listing said we’d have a private pool, when it’s actually shared with the other houses. Accessibility for people with reduced mobility is limited, there’s just one chalet with a single bedroom, and the pool and jacuzzis were rather dirty and could use some work.

The owner was so friendly, and the gîte made for a lovely weekend in Pézenas. It’s well equipped and comfortable, with several places to stay, including chalets that sleep four.

The setting is peaceful and quiet, yet close to everything, with lots to do outside: a pool, jacuzzis, pétanque, football and basketball courts, a playground, and barbecues. The accommodation was clean and secure, and it looked even better than the photos. We were warmly welcomed, and we’ll be back soon. It’s a little peaceful corner of paradise.
