We come to this restaurant whenever we’re in the area and have never been disappointed. The service is excellent, and they’re gluten-free friendly. Under new management, the hotel and restaurant have been getting updates. The restaurant bathrooms have been tastefully redone, and the dining rooms feel brighter and more vibrant.

The staff were reasonably friendly, and the price was relatively low, but I expected more for what I paid. I’m also not sure why Google says breakfast is free, since it certainly wasn’t for us. I’ll look for another option next time. The hotel’s location near the motorway seemed handy, and the town looked like it had restaurants, local shops, and woodland walks. But the rooms were dated and tired. There was mould in the shower, the bed sagged in the middle, and there was no kettle or much else in the room. Noise from the square kept us awake until 2:30 am, with shouting, laughter, banging, and motorbikes. The menu looked limited and expensive when we arrived. The restaurant was empty while other restaurants and bars were packed, so we ate elsewhere.

I had lunch here on Saturday. The restaurant looks fancy, but the prices are reasonable. The service was good too, and I’d recommend the place.

The food was fantastic, and the place was spotlessly clean. It’s a charming hotel restaurant in a handy spot near the motorway, with friendly staff and parking available outside. Recommended 👍😁
