The parking on site is great, and it's only ten minutes from the harbour. The room was fairly small, though I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. It had air conditioning, but it barely worked. Better than nothing, but it looks like it's from the 80s and could really use an overhaul or update. We checked out early, but the desk was closed and there was nowhere obvious to leave the key card. We ended up leaving it in the room. A post box or similar for early checkouts would help.

The room itself was clean and tidy, but both check-in and checkout administration need sorting out, with clear instructions on the booking confirmation. We arrived at 2140hrs to a dark building with reception closed. There was no automatic check-in machine and no instructions in the confirmation, so I had to call the emergency number to get access details. That wasn't ideal after driving 600 miles. The next morning I needed to leave at 0530hrs for my ferry, but the security gate was locked and no opening code had been provided. I had to call the emergency contact again. Not ideal.

The manager was very difficult to get hold of. The mattresses were terrible and old, and we couldn't sleep all night because we could feel the springs. Even keeping the blanket on didn't help. The room was dirty and had bugs. Please see pictures. Terrible hotel. We saw that they get people with the prices and old pictures of the place, then make it non-refundable. Stay away.

The staff were all very kind and available whenever needed. The hotel was clean, and breakfast was delicious. Everything you need is nearby.

It's right by the main road, but you'll need a car to get there. The reception isn't open around the clock, so check-in has to be before 11pm. The staff are nice, and the rooms are basic but clean, with enough for a short stay. Good for a night on the way to or from St-Malo.
