Once we saw how clean the shared bathrooms and showers were, we stopped worrying about the sink and bidet being in the room. We slept wonderfully with the windows open and blankets on. The staff were so kind. Each evening we left ice for the cooler, and every morning, as soon as he spotted us, he rushed off to get it. We left a little piece of our hearts there. Thank you so much!

There are too few showers for the number of guests, so mornings turn into a scramble. The shared bath mats are soaked, and their color makes you wonder whether they’re changed often. Our room wasn’t very clean either, with lots of hair in the bed when we arrived. Breakfast was okay, but served early, so you need to be an early riser. Not much of a relaxing start to the day.

The noise is awful, with supermarket deliveries across the street from 3 am to 7 am, then traffic afterward. The shared showers are filthy, and stepping onto a wet bath mat is disgusting. The rooms look clean only until you unfold the beds and find all that hair. Stay away, or you could end up ruining your vacation. What a disgrace.

Getting any rest was difficult because the road is busy and the building has poor soundproofing. We booked two rooms for two nights in August 2017 through Booking.com, and the rooms were dirty, with hair on the floor and in the beds on the sheets. The shared showers were ancient and the hygiene was questionable. When I raised all this with Joseph as we left, he said there was nothing he could do because the owner refused to act, despite feedback from other guests. Strange. It also seems impossible to leave a review on Booking.com. I can’t understand all the positive reviews and seriously doubt they’re genuine.
