L' Hôte Antique

A lovely family-run place with a serene, romantic feel, especially suited to couples. We spent two days in this charming cottage, set in a centuries-old farm estate. The renovation is modern, while the atmosphere still feels very rustic and French. Breakfast was homemade.

The house is beautiful inside and out, and the village around it is so quiet and pretty. We stayed a couple of nights with my wife while heading back to the UK from the Dolomites. Our host was warm and friendly, and gave us useful ideas for things to do and places to visit nearby.

We booked “L’Hôte Antique” through Gîtes de France because the listing said there was a convertible couch. There wasn’t one when we arrived, so the property didn’t match its description. The owner told us to leave and clearly promised a full refund. We trusted that and found somewhere else to stay, but Gîtes de France has since refused to refund us. Be cautious: the listing may be inaccurate, and we couldn’t rely on the owner’s verbal assurance or fair treatment from the booking platform. We’re now pursuing a chargeback.

Sabrina is a fabulous host, and the place is great. It’s a short distance from Dijon, making it an ideal stop when travelling through France. We stayed on our way to St Tropez and will definitely come back. Fully recommended.
