After driving 820 km, we got an awful welcome. Before we’d even had time to get out of the car, the owner told us to leave. My friend had a cigarette, and we understand that the establishment is non-smoking, but the way he threw us out was shocking. We’ve never experienced anything like it. Sir, don’t tell me this didn’t happen. It was simply shameful.

Breakfast on the terrace beneath the pergola, looking out over the river, was pure bliss. There were homemade jams, and our delightful host kept us company. The room was spotless, with a view of the Dordogne River; at night we heard frogs, and in the morning, birds. It’s such a peaceful, idyllic place, and the owner is charming. Thank you for everything, it was wonderful.

We booked in 2020, then postponed the stay to April 2021 at the owner’s request after lockdown. When another lockdown was announced for April, I asked to cancel, but the owner refused and gave no refund. Completely unacceptable. I’d avoid this cottage.

The Dordogne right below the room makes for a magnificent setting, and the owner was very kind. It’s a really nice bed and breakfast, though breakfast itself was a little too simple.
