Sure Hotel by Best Western Plaisir

My bed was fine, and so was the shower. But the toilet was dirty, and there was a used washcloth from the previous guest in the bathroom. Two colleagues had no towels at all during our two-day stay. Staff said the towels had been stolen. There was a cat in the breakfast area, where food was left uncovered for the next morning. The TV remote was missing, the WiFi didn't work, and staff couldn't speak English well enough to sort out problems.

The rooms are very basic, and breakfast is limited but adequate. My main problem was the WiFi, which wasn't working.

We arrived on Saturday afternoon for the two nights we'd booked, only to find a note on the door saying the hotel was closed. There was no reason or phone number, and nobody had told us. I called and emailed, but got no response; even three days later, we'd heard nothing. It's scandalous. You can't count on having a room, or even a bed, even if you've paid. This was the worst hotel “stay” I've ever had. Whatever the reason for closing, they should tell guests and return their money. Horrible experience. I wouldn't wish it on anyone and wouldn't book here.

At that very low price, the standard was low too. The rooms have poor sound insulation, and there was no butter at breakfast. See picture.
