Le Studio du Brochy

For €41 a night, this small studio on the Hauteville plateau is pleasant and inexpensive. The service was impeccable, the sheets clean, linen provided, and dishes and breakfast included. It’s close to all the shops, really great. Just one small detail to mention: the hot water ran out in the morning because the tank is small. Aside from that, great place. I recommend it for a night or longer. One extra service is that this Lélé person offers another studio not far from the ski slopes, so next time this gentleman should be the priority.

The studio worked well for our night before heading on to Lyon. It’s on the top floor and comes with a private parking spot. Small and pretty basic, but functional, and at under €40 in June 2024, the price was right. The kitchen was especially well stocked with utensils, plus coffee and tea, and there’s air conditioning. For German speakers: plan around short shop hours in the countryside, especially in this area. The town doesn’t have many restaurants, and we weren’t impressed by the quality we found. We visited on a Sunday and things were very quiet. Some French will help, since English is really difficult here.

Breakfast was generous, and the quiet, pleasant setting made it even better. They even included a small bottle of wine and two balloon glasses. The studio had dishes, a fridge, a microwave and a TV, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much it offered for the price. I’d gladly recommend it.

The owner was friendly, and the studio was quiet enough for a relaxing stay. It’s right in the city center, clean, functional, and fully equipped. There were breakfast basics like coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cereal, rusks, sugar, milk, orange juice, jam and butter, along with hygiene and cleaning supplies. I highly recommend it.
