Ferme de Simondon

It’s a peaceful, relaxing place and really good value. We loved the scenery, the clean shower block, the spacious van pitches, and the owners were very friendly. The signs on the way make it easy to find, and there’s a small honesty shop with a few essentials. There’s also a nice pool and a restaurant on site. We didn’t eat there since we’re vegetarian and couldn’t see a veggie option, but that was fine with us.

We’ve been back for the third time and are already hoping to return next year. The pitches are roomy, and the views across the valley toward the alps are fantastic. A beautiful, relaxed campsite with a really nice atmosphere.

The hosts are what make this place especially welcoming, they’re super friendly. Ferme Simondon has lovely big pitches overlooking the Rhone valley, plus a beautiful pool and a small shop. In summer there’s bread service, and the sanitary facilities and other amenities are good. You can even rent a fridge, which is handy if you like cooking and usually have to make do with a cool bag. The cats, chickens with fresh eggs, sheep, and donkeys add to the stay too. Thanks again Hubert&Helene for a great time.

We felt so relaxed here. The farm and family are lovely, and the panoramic view is beautiful. We arrived after the season had ended, when they weren’t really open anymore, and we were the only campers with an RV. The owner still made us feel very welcome, and even brought bread and croissants right to our RV steps in the morning. This campsite is something special.
