After busy days sightseeing, we loved unwinding in the sunroom, and there was plenty to do nearby. The food was lovely and the hosts were wonderful. Such a great find.

Françoise was attentive to our well-being and offered expert suggestions throughout the week, helping us discover Brittany's food and must-see places. After each full day out, the cozy "La Rivière Douce" was a lovely place to recharge. We especially enjoyed our daily chats and the last dinner with Françoise and her husband Rémi, which had such a warm, relaxed feel. We highly recommend "Il était une fois à l'ouest" as a base for exploring Brittany with Françoise's thoughtful advice.

The pool was especially nice after a short run in the countryside, and the meals were simple but good. We were welcomed very warmly. I was a little surprised there wasn't a TV in the room, and the soundproofing between rooms was only average, though it wasn't really a problem. Otherwise, everything was fine, including the bedding. Breakfast was hearty and very nice, with homemade jam and more. I'd recommend it.
