Dinner was a real highlight, the hosts cooked a lovely meal and served an exceptional Burgundy wine. They’re wonderful people, and the place itself is a hidden 16th-century chateau. The bathroom has been fully renovated, with a rain shower beneath the old wooden ceiling.

The owners gave us such a warm welcome, and the bed and breakfast was beautiful and really comfortable. Breakfast was generous, too. You can walk to the Burgundy Canal from the town center. There aren’t any restaurants in town for dinner, which is a shame, but Dijon is right next door and has plenty to choose from.

The photos look lovely, but they don’t match what we found. There’s space for just one car at the back of the courtyard, and only when the owner isn’t using it. To eat outside, you have to go down to garden level while the kitchen is on the first floor. The cottage is really only suited to people under 1.60m, otherwise you’ll bump your head. It’s expensive, old-fashioned, and unwelcoming. Better to look elsewhere.

A warm welcome in a quiet, friendly little town just a stone’s throw from Dijon. The breakfast was superb, and the renovated 17th-century building is magnificent. It’s also accredited by Gîtes de France.

The owners made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was generous, with homemade jam and yogurt cake among the offerings. We’ll definitely come back, especially as it’s so close to the Odyssée cabaret.
