Le Manoir de L'Isle is in a lovely setting, and the two hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks to them. We recommend staying here without reservation.

That natural pond in the large garden is such a peaceful spot; you could linger there for ages. The manor itself is charming and carefully preserved, with so much attention to detail. We were welcomed by someone we took to be the gardener, then discovered he was also the maître d' and a real Michelin-starred chef. It was a fun surprise at the start of our unforgettable stay. He shared plenty of stories and information about the house, the region and the food, all in a personal, engaging way. A hidden gem. Lisa & Michael

We had a wonderful nine days surrounded by greenery. The property is charming and so peaceful, and the owners and managers were welcoming, helpful and friendly throughout. Their hospitality and service made the stay pleasant and gave us the relaxing holiday we wanted. The rooms and shared spaces were well cared for and always clean. Breakfast was superb, both plentiful and high quality. The directions and information they gave us helped us see the region’s main sights and enjoy some lovely coastal walks. A lovely experience, and one we hope to repeat. A heartfelt thank you to Patrizia and Philippe! :)

Five stars is the highest praise a military man can give, and this superb property and its welcome deserve it. We fell for the hosts and the calm of the place. The head of staff sometimes wears a very smart fatigue, and the manor’s facade gets decorated with questionable Parisian coats of arms depending on current events. The owner's Shakespearean flourishes and the hostess's kindness give the manor its own magical identity, rather like Paris. Our one regret, which we understand, is that we couldn’t share an evening meal there. Breakfast, though, was “chocolate-y” excellent. And since the woman always has the higher rank in a residence, Patricia deserves a sixth star, if only such a rating existed. A truly wonderful place.
