For a quick night on the road, the price was competitive and the road links are good. The room was clean, and the receptionist was friendly. The decor is a bit dated, though it seems to have been renovated as much as the building allows. When you're travelling, you mainly want somewhere to put your head down.

Good location, clean hotel, and friendly staff.

Basic but clean, and the best Ibis budget we've stayed at so far. The staff were welcoming, especially the young man on the evening we arrived, though I can't remember his name. It's a handy overnight stop when travelling. Check your satnav address, though. Ours sent us to the wrong place, and Google Maps got us there in the end.

The beds were fine and the room had enough space, but the bathroom was old and really needs updating. I also found a bug bite on my back and showed staff a photo the next day. Service was good, and the location is handy off the highway. At the main ibis restaurant, the Caesar salad was tasty, but the salmon and burger mains were bland. My 18-year-old son usually eats a lot, yet left half his burger and chips because they weren't cooked enough.

We stopped here in August 2017 on the way from Spain back to the UK. It was comfortable enough, but extremely basic, and personally I'd only stay again if I had no other choice. The bakery next door was fantastic for breakfast, though.
