The menus were excellent and really fairly priced, €18 for adults and €9 for kids. We turned up without warning as a group of 12 and got such a warm welcome from the owner and staff. Everyone was friendly and smiling. The restrooms were clean, too, and they even gave us coffee on the house. Thanks! 👍 I'd happily recommend this place.

I’ll remember those plums! The breakfast was generous, and the owner was cooking up excellent food in this lovely, family-run hotel-restaurant. Thanks to Philippe, the owner, and Claire for being so professional and friendly. Such a nice surprise.

Don't come expecting luxury, and it isn't a budget place either, which is fine by me. It's a simple, genuine hotel with a friendly feel. We liked the straightforward, good evening meal, and breakfast was hearty and very good. Homemade or local jam would be a nice addition. You might bump into locals, and a drink at the bar is a good chance to chat with the friendly owner. There's a good chance I'll come back.

Three stars out of courtesy. We came as a couple around 12:30 on Wednesday and were refused a meal because we hadn't booked, even though the main dining room was half empty. The waitress welcomed us and asked us to wait, but a couple of minutes later the man at the bar turned us away. During the week, it seems you really have to reserve. That didn't feel very welcoming or like good service.

The owner was really friendly and pointed us to a good Cantal cheese producer. We had a very good meal, including homemade fries cooked in duck fat, which the chef made for us when we asked. All the best to you.
