The terrace breakfast was lovely, with good-quality food prepared to suit what you ask for, and the host was caring and kind. The terrace and upper rooms have a wonderful view. My downstairs room was nicely decorated, but a little dark and smelled damp, like wet walls, so next time I'd choose an upstairs room. One thing to know is that there's a busy road behind the house, which makes checking in and parking a bit tricky.

Claudia was a terrific, helpful host, and her scrambled eggs at breakfast were the best. The shared terrace is great, and having air conditioning was a big plus. The €10-a-night parking takes a bit of nerve to get in and out of, though drivers on the road will stop to let you out. I gave four stars because €300 a night for two felt overpriced. We found slightly better accommodation in the area for €200 a night. The room's furniture is a little dated, and the mattress was too soft and worn.

La Belle Vue really lives up to its name. The views are gorgeous, the rooms are cute, it all smells amazing, and breakfast was delicious. I can't recommend it enough.
