The setting in the old monastery has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff at reception were pleasant and capable. Our room was good, though noise from the neighbors came through clearly. Breakfast was quite poor by international standards.

We arrived around 10 pm, and the place really did feel like Night at the Museum. The staff were friendly and everything was very clean. In the morning we had a great time wandering around the grounds. It’s a beautiful place to stay for very little money, and only about five hours from there to Calais if you need a stop on the way through France. Go if you get the chance.

We had a quiet, comfortable room with a view over the Moselle river. The building is beautiful and old, and the gardens are lovely.

The Abbey is beautiful, and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was nice, breakfast decent, and the location worked well. Reception gave us a wonderful welcome.

There was no air conditioning, and the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. I was there in September, and I can imagine July or August would be awful. For what you get, it’s expensive too.
