La Maison Fil du Temps would be an ideal stop before heading back to Britain, with the Channel Tunnel or ferry just over an hour away. We also spotted the cheapest petrol we'd seen in France about a minute up the road. Our en suite bedrooms were really spacious, with huge, fabulous walk-in showers, and the beds were super comfy. Nicolas was such a friendly host and cooked us a delicious three-course dinner. Breakfast had loads of choice, too. We'd highly recommend staying here.

Dinner was served at one big farm table in a room with a nice couple from the area. The hosts were welcoming, interesting, and excellent cooks. This felt like an oasis among the rolling hills of the French countryside. The house dates from the 1800s and has been restored with its original character intact. Its eclectic, charming decor made it a comfortable place to unwind and recharge. We'd highly recommend this lovely getaway.

We really enjoyed the beautifully decorated place and would love to come back soon. Our old-fashioned room felt like it belonged to the little girl who once lived there, and the house was full of memories and historic details. A lovely stay, with good food, a great breakfast, and a friendly host.
