Domaine de L'osage

The rooms are a good size, and the setting is lovely. The service was basic but good.

Our room was spacious and quiet, with a great bathroom and really comfortable bedding. Breakfast was generous and delicious, too. The estate has been decorated with a lot of taste, bringing out the charm of the old building. The host was so friendly, and it was clear that looking after guests matters to him. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We found Domaine de l’Osage through our own Google Maps search and stayed as a couple for a wedding nearby in early June 2024. We flew from Germany/Luxembourg to Montpellier airport and picked up a rental car. We’d gladly come back and highly recommend the place. The Salvadori family made us feel at home right away. The estate is peaceful and green, with several charming old buildings in Provençal style that the owners are renovating themselves over time. There are lovely romantic corners for a stroll at almost any time of day. The surrounding countryside is beautiful for walks, with plenty of charming towns and villages to visit and relaxed, friendly people. Gîte du Chaix was spacious, clean, well equipped, and tastefully modernized with high quality finishes. In early June it stayed comfortably cool indoors. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, including a dishwasher, large fridge, ceramic hob, convection oven, and plenty of dishes. The bathroom was comfortable, with a step free shower, rain shower head, heated towel rail, and washing machine. We slept soundly. The bedding was high quality, with soft, clean linen in excellent condition. Even the bedspreads and extra pillows were fresh. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the cottage's private terrace, with its comfortable garden furniture and large parasol. Roma, the adorable flat-coated retriever, almost always kept us company. We love dogs! The recently renovated pool was spacious and clean, with pleasantly warm water and steps that made it easy for children and older guests to get in. Around it were lots of comfortable sun loungers, a pergola, and a shaded green area, all in a quiet, well-kept enclosure. There was parking on site and supermarkets nearby.

The hosts were warm and friendly, and gave us great suggestions for things to do and places to eat nearby. We spent three wonderful days at Domaine de l'Osage, surrounded by lush greenery in a beautiful, peaceful setting.
