We stayed in the ground-floor Les Lilas room, which was spacious and comfortable. The renovated bathroom was roomy too, and the shower had great pressure and temperature. The garden at the back is absolutely beautiful. Our hosts were wonderful and helped with tips for getting to Mont Saint Michel easily, as well as restaurant reservations nearby. Breakfast was delicious: fresh juice, bread, yogurt, fruit, cheese, jams, coffee, and eggs made to order. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this Bed & Breakfast.

The breakfast at Le Clos Saint Gilles felt personal and generous: homemade cakes, honey gathered on-site, French press coffee, apple juice from the orchard, and eggs cooked to order. Tatiana and Thibault were welcoming, pleasant, and full of knowledge about the area, with plenty of willingness to help us explore. They greeted us on the patio with homemade apple juice from their own orchard, a small, thoughtful detail that set the tone. The farmhouse has been lovingly restored, mixing countryside charm with comfort and elegance. Natural, homemade, and locally sourced products are used throughout, and the peaceful rural setting near the Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel made this one of the highlights of our Normandy visit. Highly recommend it for a friendly, high-quality countryside retreat where the hospitality feels genuine and authentically French.

The garden was one of the loveliest parts of the stay, with quiet little corners to sit, chat, and take in the peaceful atmosphere. The whole place is beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, and spotless, and our bed was incredibly comfortable. We spent the night in the yourta, and I’d absolutely recommend it if you can. It’s cozy and beautifully designed, with hand-painted furniture and a really immersive feel. Falling asleep and waking up with a view of the sky was unforgettable. Thibaut greeted us with a real smile and asked which language we preferred, then explained everything in English, which immediately put me at ease since I don’t speak French yet. The owner showed us around and told us how the yourta came about. He looks after the garden himself, and you can feel how much love and passion the family has put into creating this place and sharing it with others. There’s even a piano inside the house. My boyfriend played, and the owner encouraged him to make himself at home. That little gesture says a lot about the warm, trusting, welcoming atmosphere here. The hosts checked that we were comfortable, gave us useful tips for visiting Mont Saint-Michel and places to eat, and Thibaut offered to call restaurants for us if we needed help booking because we don’t speak the language. It all felt like genuine care. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and they kept asking if we needed anything else. We also got a lovely souvenir and could buy their homemade honey and a beautiful bracelet made by their daughter. We only stayed one night, but I could happily have spent a whole week there. If you want a peaceful place where you feel welcomed and cared for, whether you’re with family, friends, or your partner, this is the right place with the right people. Thank you for everything. We really hope to return someday. 💗💗💗💗

Tatiana and Thibaut were lovely hosts. They suggested marvelous restaurants and showed us an off-the-beaten-path route to the Mont with spectacular views. The best part was drinking their delicious well water straight from the faucet! The restored farmhouse and its beautiful gardens made this charming bed and breakfast just what we’d hoped for.

The hosts were friendly, and check-in and checkout were easy. Breakfast was great, with lots of homemade produce, and their tips for getting to MSM were really useful. Some bedrooms and the garden have views of MSM. Our room was very comfortable, with a lovely bed and a well-appointed bathroom.
