ibis La Baule Pornichet Plage

The breakfast buffet had a great range of good-quality food and some pretty decent coffee. I chose to eat out in the evening, and there were plenty of good places just a short walk away. The hotel does have its own restaurant, though. I booked at the last minute for one night on my way back to the UK. The area was busy with people enjoying the lovely weather, so finding parking took a while. At check-in I was offered the underground car park for an extra fifteen euro a night, but I kept the street spot I’d found, about a ten-minute walk away. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the woman at reception spoke perfect English. The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy, with great air-conditioning. My bedroom was spacious and well furnished, as was the ensuite bathroom. The shower was lovely and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. It was very good value. I would’ve liked to stay longer, and I’ll definitely return.

The buffet breakfast was good, and I liked the pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. Quite a few guests stayed in for food and drinks, and the dishes were good. The decor was tasteful and gave the place a holiday feel. I was in the area for one night and wanted somewhere affordable but decent, so I went with a familiar Ibis. The room was fine for a night or for someone out most of the time, though I find Ibis rooms a little small.

Quiet, friendly, and close to the seaside. I enjoyed staying here and would recommend it. If I get the chance to return to La Baule - Pornichet, I’ll stay here again.

The staff were helpful and friendly throughout my one-night stay. I enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, too, and would certainly come back.
