The food was full of flavour, nicely presented, and reasonably priced, and we really enjoyed the meal. We arrived very late for lunch without a booking; the conservatory was full, but they kindly seated us in the main restaurant, where only a couple of other diners were eating. We had the chicken breast with crushed potatoes and bacon and bean sauce, plus the fish of the day with truffle risotto. For dessert, we both chose profiteroles with guarana sauce, and shared a crisp bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.

We heard about La Chaloupe from a recommendation and were so glad we went. There was a great atmosphere, plenty of tempting food choices, and the staff were attentive and really friendly. Yvan was a lovely host. Patsy and Trev, thank you, and we’re looking forward to seeing you again when we return to the area in July. We’ll definitely book a table here.

The service was excellent, and I really liked the food and decor. It’s a lovely spot, and I’m planning to come back soon to eat and stay at the hotel in December.

Lovely dinner, and the staff were friendly. Great location, too. The rooms felt authentic and were very clean.
