Hôtel Méditerranée

The food was brilliant, and the service and drink selection were very good too. The staff were amazing, always cheerful. My room was comfortable and had a great beach view. The hotel feels a little dated, but it’s kept very clean.

The room looked a bit shabby and could do with an upgrade, but the bed and towels were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and dinner was pretty good. I had the fish cakes and duck. There weren’t any vegetarian choices, though they did rustle up a nice cheesy pea and saffron risotto for me.

The location is excellent, right by the beach, with parking spaces in front and plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms are very clean and smell fresh, and they’re not bad, though there’s still room to improve. The building feels dated throughout, from the old decor and restaurant furniture to the corridors, which could use more EXIT arrow signs. The staircase layout is odd for a hotel. The food is good, if not a wow, and the staff are wonderful and very friendly, from reception through to the restaurant.

We had the Tuna Burger, which was excellent and very generous, on ciabatta buns with golden fries and lettuce. We also got a half-liter pitcher of white wine. Friendly service and a nice beach view setting, all at a very reasonable price.
