Résidence du Port Goélia

The apartments are nice, and the staff are very pleasant. We keep staying here because they let you book by the night. The residence itself is a bit old, though, and there aren't enough electrical outlets in the apartment, with none in the bedroom. Parking is a real problem. The residence lot is too small for the number of apartments, and two spaces are always taken by staff vehicles, a white van and a white car. The larger lot next door is closed because a medical center is being built, leaving nowhere else to park. We paid for Wi-Fi, but it barely works, showing a limited connection about eight times out of ten. They should consider a different system. There is also a lot of noise from the restaurants at night.

From our large terrace, we had a lovely view over the port, and there were a table, chair, and clothes horse out there. The apartment was spacious and very clean. The residence is beautiful, quiet, and clean, and the owner is very kind. There are plenty of walks around the magnificent port without needing to drive. One small drawback: when it's very windy, the wind whistling through the boat masts can sound quite impressive. It didn't bother us much, though it might disturb some people trying to sleep.

The apartment was spotless, and the view of the port was fantastic. The team were lovely, and the manager was very kind. There was no air conditioning, though, and during the heatwave that made things hard with a young boy. Maybe the Goélia group could renovate this residence, like many of its other Goélia residences.

We arrived to find the TV not working, the front door broken, and the bathroom door patched up as a makeshift repair. The bathroom plasterboard wasn't finished, the toilet brush was dirty, and exposed circuit breakers didn't feel safe. The mattress protectors were filthy, and the barrier for my parking space was broken too. The apartment hadn't been cleaned, so we had to redo the dishes because they were disgusting. There was no air conditioning, as it was no longer available, and Wi-Fi also cost extra. At reception, when it was open, the receptionist couldn't care less.
