The shared garden and kitchen made it easy to relax, and it was lovely meeting families from around Europe. There are hammocks and seating in the garden, too. Each morning Elodie put out a different breakfast selection, with French pastries, yoghurt, cheese, ham, bread and jams. We had a hard time finding somewhere to stay for Disney, so we were really glad we picked this place. It’s beautiful, very clean and newly decorated, and the metro is close by, with only 8 stops to Disney. Elodie and her mum and dad were wonderful. They gave us lots of tips about places to visit and things to do, and helped us work out how to get there. They made the stay such a pleasure, and we’d definitely come back to Paris and stay here again. If you’re staying longer, I’d recommend Trocado Gardens, with its beautiful fountains, plus the science museum and natural history museum, which is set in lovely gardens. Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t be disappointed.

Elodie was so welcoming and easy to talk to. The rooms were fantastic, and our stay was much better than the large hotel we moved to later in the holiday. We’ll definitely be back soon.

We stayed in the gypsy caravan in the garden, which had a kind of magic of its own. The B&B is in quiet Bry-sur-Marne, about 20 minutes from Disneyland by RER. It’s also nice to support a local entrepreneur.

The apartment had everything we needed. Best homestay.

I booked and paid well ahead for the “Gypsy Caravan” at Le Vieux Puits for July 2-5. On July 1, the day before my flight to Paris, the host sent a full check-in email with access codes, directions and arrival details. Everything seemed set. A few hours later, Booking.com told me the booking had been canceled because of “overbooking.” I called the host right away. She gave a vague explanation about a “technical problem,” wouldn’t help, and hung up while we were still talking. She barely spoke English, which made communicating extremely difficult. I was left without a place to stay, with non-refundable flights and paid events in Paris. This was one of the worst booking experiences I’ve had, and I found the behavior unacceptable and very unprofessional. They can cancel without warning and leave you in a disastrous situation. Stay away, you deserve better.
