Casa Santini x Roc Seven

We loved Casa Santini enough to spend our final day just relaxing in the garden and looking out at the sea. We stayed two nights, and the staff we met were friendly and professional, with plenty of tips for enjoying Porto Vecchio and nearby beaches. Breakfast had a wide selection, and dinner at the restaurant, with its lovely ocean view, was one of our best meals in Corsica.

The staff were the real highlight for me. Everyone was helpful from the moment I arrived, and the man at reception suggested lots of places to visit that I took into account on my trip. I enjoyed two nights here this past week. The food was quite good for hotel food: breakfast had options like scrambled eggs and really good avocado toast. I had seafood risotto one evening, which was good but could be better. There are plenty of chairs for reading or lounging by the private beach. There isn't a pool, and since I visited early in the season the sea was quite cold. On the first morning I woke with no water, but luckily I had a liter with me to brush my teeth. It was back on by the time I returned from breakfast. I also had trouble logging in to the WiFi on my computer, and the connection kept dropping.

In Porto-Vecchio, I'd gladly stay here again. The team helped me with everything I needed, and the food and drinks were amazing. The outdoor area overlooking the sea is incredible. A perfect stay!

The property is beautiful, with lovely views and friendly staff, but the construction noise made it impossible to relax during our stay. They're drilling pylons into the seabed next door, and the deafening banging goes from sunrise to sunset. It even spoiled breakfast as we tried to enjoy the sunrise. We asked for a discount at checkout because of the disruption, but were refused, although the hotel knew about the work before our visit. I'd avoid staying here until at least late 2027, or the noise is likely to disappoint.
