Citta di Lume Suites & Lofts

The short walk into the city centre made it easy to get around, and shops were all within a five-minute drive. We really enjoyed our stay at Citta di Lume. The clean, very nice loft had a big balcony, although the views weren’t especially impressive. Daily cleaning was a pleasant surprise, and when we came back from our activities, the expensive items we’d left there were still in the loft 😉. The pool was a welcome extra when the sun wasn’t out, and there was enough parking for all the lofts in the building. We had a great experience and would consider staying again if we return to Porto-Vecchio.

We’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re in Porto-Vecchio. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the hosts provided generous amenities. Check-in and parking were easy, though Google Maps sent us the wrong way, so we had to turn left and loop around to reach the parking area. A few guests parked their motorbikes across two spaces. That wasn’t the hosts’ fault, and they messaged everyone through booking.com asking for the bikes to be moved. It’s a downside of a mostly unmanned suite.

We had an expensive item stolen, and we know it was at this accommodation because we had it before arriving. The shared lockbox for the keys is accessible to all the other guests, so we chose to take our key with us every day. Even so, on a couple of occasions we saw staff leaving our apartment at odd times. Nobody had told us it would be serviced daily. Communication was very disappointing after we informed management about the theft, and nothing was done. If you need to feel safe leaving your belongings, this isn’t the place. I would never recommend staying here.

There’s a shared key box for guests, which felt very unsafe. During our recent stay at Citta di Lume, an expensive item was stolen from my brother’s room. We asked management to contact the local authorities to investigate, but they refused. Their handling of the situation was appalling. Very disappointing. Be aware!
