Costa Nera Beach House

We stayed in Costa Nera for 10 days and felt right at home in the fully equipped duplex. The beach nearby is amazing. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff were kind and very helpful. I’d give it more than five stars if I could.

This was our second year in a row at Costa Nera, and travelling from across the globe is worth it. It’s clean, peaceful, and always quiet and pleasant. Géraldine and Nathalie were kind and helpful the whole time.

We liked Costa Nera so much that we changed our plans. We’d booked the first week of a two-week Corsica trip there for the last two weeks of September, with Ajaccio and Bonifacio planned for week two. While staying in Ajaccio, we cancelled Bonifacio and booked Costa Nera again. We had a studio for the first week and a villa for the second four-day stay. Both were spotless and packed with useful things: a kitchen with fridge and utensils, combi microwave oven (plus a regular oven in the villa), dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board, Nespresso machine, toaster, kettle, TV, and Bluetooth radio. The studios have balconies, while the villas have gardens with dining furniture and sun loungers. Each stay included Nespresso pods, two for the studio and four for the villa, a bottle of water, four dishwasher tablets, two laundry tablets, two bin bags, a small tube of dishwashing liquid, a sponge, and two tea towels. It would have been better to have one cloth and one towel instead. There’s no hand soap in the bathroom, or in the villa toilet, which seems odd, but there is shower gel and shampoo in a dispenser. The residences are peaceful, well soundproofed, and private. Parking is free, and you can enter Costa Nera at any time with an access code. It’s a two-minute walk to Santa Giulia beach. Beach towels are free on request. There’s a mini market right outside on the way to the beach, with all the essentials at the same prices as Spar, and Spar Porto Vecchio is a seven-minute drive away. Check-out is by 10 a.m., but reception has a storage area and a fridge for food. After checking out, we could still borrow beach towels and use the bathroom behind reception, which has a shower, sink, toilet, shampoo, shower gel, and towels. Reception is open daily from 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 7 p.m., though arriving outside those hours is possible. A special thanks to Vêena and Astrid for being so friendly and helpful during both stays. We highly recommend Costa Nera. If we return to Corsica, we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

Everything was good, from the location and service to the apartment and beach. It’s expensive, but worth it.
