The view is amazing, and we liked the pool area, the beautiful platform by the sea, and the restaurant and its staff. The platform isn't really good for swimming, though. The apartments are generally clean and fine, but not worth this price, especially for couples. We left after 3 nights for a much more comfortable 4 star hotel that cost less. The houses are very humid, and the kitchen layout makes it awkward to cook in the corner. The steam vent was cut off and unusable. Both the mattresses and the toilet seat were disappointing, and the rented bedding and towels, which were clean but stained, felt like hidden costs. If extra money is being made from rentals, maybe replace them from time to time. I speak French, so we were fine, but few of the tourism staff spoke English, making it harder for my boyfriend to follow. The German and French info sheets didn't match either, and the German one was missing important points. That would be easy to correct.

The pool, restaurant, and its very nice staff were highlights. We also liked the swimming platform, though swimming there without equipment seems dangerous because of the rocks and sea urchins. Fresh bread delivered in the morning was handy, and the drive in and the views were lovely. We booked house nr. 18, listed for 6 sleeping places, for 5 nights, but left after 3 because we just couldn't sleep. Both double beds had really bad mattresses, and the beds aren't very big, as the homepage says. A good mattress would make a big difference. The overall standard wasn't very high, which could be fine at a lower price, but for what it costs, we could get a much more comfortable hotel, even in low season. On top of the rental, bedding and towels cost extra, as did final cleaning, and we had to put sheets on the plastic-covered beds ourselves. There was no soap, kitchen towels, or cleaning equipment. We got one role of toilet paper, and there was no holder in the toilet. The seat was loose, the house was very humid, towels wouldn't dry indoors, the fridge was really loud, and we could hear the neighbors clearly. Info sheets outside French left out important details, and it may be difficult if you don't speak French, since not all reception staff speak English.

The view was lovely, though in October there were no restaurants open, so be ready to cook if you can. The kitchen seemed designed by someone who'd never cooked, and the utensils were pretty dire. Apartment 18 has one toilet for 6 people, and the seat is still crooked. The TV was a mini monitor. I'd have rated it three stars if management hadn't been flexible and let us stay until 14:00 on departure day.

It looks beautiful, and the service was okay, but the mosquitoes were unbelievably persistent. They were everywhere, and even after a couple of slaps they were still going. Bring every mosquito repellent gadget you can think of if you stay here, because these mosquitoes are something else.
