The grounds were beautiful, but I'd never go back. Don't stay here unless you have a car. Our travel agent assured us everything was close by, which was only true if you had a vehicle. Cabs were expensive everywhere and made getting around restrictive.

The residence is nicely set in nature, but the bungalows felt dated and badly in need of renovation. We lost electricity several times during the day, and even WLAN cost extra, at 5 Euro per device and day. The kitchen had plenty of utensils but none of the basics like soap, salt, pepper, or oil. In the 21 century, with Airbnb around and at this price, it felt like a really bad deal.

In the charming village of Bocca dell Oro, the villas are comfortable and well equipped, so they worked well for our extended stay. We appreciated the bread and viennoiseries delivery, and they were flexible about arranging bicycle delivery and pick-up on site. We'll definitely come back and highly recommend it.

The owners were welcoming and multilingual, and when our washing machine broke, they had a new one installed within a day. We also liked having two pools, including a heated one, and the prices compared very well with other places we'd checked. It's pet-friendly, unlike most of those alternatives. The location is convenient: 5 minutes by car to Santa Giulia beach and 10 minutes to Palombaggia, between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio. L'Ospedale lake is about a half hour away. There are two restaurants a 5 minute walk away, and a supermarket and local products shop 2 minutes by car. We'll be back next year. 😊
