The room was good and the location is hard to beat, but a few things got in the way. The bidet is in the bathroom while the toilet is in a separate room, so it doesn't really serve its purpose. The bathtub drain was blocked by a cap that didn't work. After we called for help, someone came and removed it, then I think told us we could only shower. She spoke only French, which we didn't understand, but kept speaking French anyway. At night there was a lot of noise from downstairs. This seems common in Corsica, where some people in hospitality don't make much effort if you don't speak French. The restaurant is downstairs, and one receptionist also worked there as a waiter. She spoke some English and was friendly and accommodating. Fine for one night, though for the price you might expect more before realizing this is just how it is in Corsica.

The restaurant downstairs served some of the best food in town, and breakfast was enjoyable too. Our room was clean and had good air conditioning. Staff were attentive and professional. Right in the heart of Porto, the place also has beautiful harbor and mountain views. We'd be happy to return.

The fish soup was excellent, served with all the usual accompaniments, though it was a bouillabaisse without the pieces of fish. There aren't many starters to choose from. The restaurant has a lovely harbor view at any time of day, and the Corsican dishes are good quality, served efficiently and with good humor. Its evening lighting doesn't quite earn the “romantic” description, though it's still better than some places.

We speak very little French, but the staff were still so kind, polite, and welcoming. The balcony had a beautiful view, and we had a lovely continental breakfast. The rooms were clean and nice, and the location is ideal for everything in Porto. Merci!

The service was good and the hotel itself is nice, with a great location. But there was a sickening sewage smell coming from the bathroom pipes, so I had to keep that door shut the whole time. That's the only reason I wouldn't recommend staying here.
