The location is peaceful, close to the beach, and the gentleman managing the place is incredibly kind. Those are the reasons for my three stars. The chalet got unbearably hot, with no air moving through it, and it was even hotter outside. We cut our stay short, and I wouldn’t suggest it for families with young kids. There’s no cell service in the upper-level chalets, and you can hear the neighbors, though no more than at a campground. The bathroom window isn’t frosted and looks straight into the neighbors’ bathroom, so there’s no privacy. The kitchen is very poorly equipped, without even a vegetable peeler. It was dirty by my standards, and you should expect insects like spiders, ants, and wasps. They charge 100 euros for cleaning. I’d clean it yourself and keep the money, since it’ll be cleaner when you leave than when you arrived.

The beach was wonderful, and we often had it almost to ourselves. It’s a beautiful area and the location is quiet. The bungalows are showing their age, though. Even a tiny bit of dirt seemed to bring trails of ants, and while the huts looked clean at first, a closer look was disappointing.

The warden was very pleasant and kind, but I agreed completely with Roxane’s review. I booked three days and regretted it the moment I arrived, almost leaving right away. In September the chalets were damp and musty, dark, and had no phone signal, internet, or TV. The place was run down, and the walls felt paper thin.

We rented a chalet in mid-September, and I can’t understand the positive reviews. We felt completely misled. It’s run down, very dirty, unwelcoming, and nothing like the photos. The chalet shares a thin partition wall with the unit next door, so the lack of privacy is awful. Every morning at 7 a.m. the neighbors woke us. We could hear their conversations, running water, even the coffee maker, as if we were all in one chalet. We spent our days exploring Corsica just to avoid being there, and we’re leaving three nights early to stay elsewhere. This is our fifth year in Corsica, and our first disappointing stay.
