Grand Hourcqs was a lovely setting for a peaceful week with the family, with lots to do nearby. France and Pascal were wonderful, attentive hosts, and we had a very pleasant stay.

Jules, the owners' dog, is a sweetheart, and the owners themselves are very friendly. It's also wonderfully quiet, just right for switching off. But the cottage has a damp smell, the furniture and appliances need replacing, and both the beds and sofa are uncomfortable. I thought 20 euros a day was a bit expensive for one towel per person and two sets of sheets.

At Le Grand Hourcqs, the hostess really puts effort into making guests feel well looked after. We felt at home, thanks to the comfort, authenticity, kindness, and impeccable hospitality. One of those rare bed and breakfasts where everything you could hope for is there. Thank you so much.

We'd gladly come back. It was calm and peaceful, with a warm welcome, and pleasant even in winter. In summer, we'd love to enjoy the lovely pool, the lake about a 20-minute walk away, and the magnificent surroundings. Highly recommend.

A great place for unwinding, and the family looking after us were friendly and provided excellent service. The pool is a big bonus when you're traveling with children, and the dog and chickens add to the welcoming feel. Highly recommended.
