The owners made us feel so welcome and were always around when we needed them. Their magnificent Newfoundland dog is a cuddle lover, which added another sweet touch. El Casal sits high above Prats-de-Mollo in the mountains, a lovely place to unwind. Our room looked even better than the photos, with tasteful decor, a striking mountain view, and treats like madeleines, chocolate and coffee waiting for us. Breakfast was a real treat too, with warm bread, fresh produce, charcuterie, jams and honey. We'd happily recommend it for a peaceful, authentic mountain stay.

Jana and Patrick were so friendly that we felt right at home. The mountain views are fabulous, and the rooms are spacious, well equipped, and perfectly decorated. An idyllic place, and we'd love to return.

Patrick and Jane looked after us with so much affection, and you can tell they really love what they do in all the little details. The house is beautifully kept, bringing the feel of the past together with today's comforts. I had a fantastic weekend there, surrounded by calm, peace, and nature.

The scenery was beautiful, and the hosts made us feel very well looked after. Their dog was gentle, too. We had a perfect, comfortable stay and would highly recommend it.

We finished our week away on a real high, and we'd definitely come back and tell our friends about this place. The views of the mountains from the grounds were exceptional, and breakfast was wonderful. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Even though we arrived late, the owners welcomed us: motion-activated lights made it easy to find the guest room, where the heating was on and little lights were lit. It was lovely to feel expected.
