Michel was particularly pleasant and kind, but the rest of our 11-night August stay was very disappointing. The place might suit a night or two, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer visit. Breakfast was the same for all 11 days: the same croissants and yogurts, with just 10 grams of butter for five people and very little variety. There wasn’t even orange juice on the table, and we had to ask several times for more butter. When we politely asked for a spread besides the four partly eaten jams the hostess had provided, we were told that spread, eggs, or anything else counted as an “extra.” The hostess was completely inflexible and rather stingy about breakfast. There was no proper common room, just a very small room with a small desk and two chairs. My girlfriend’s room and mine had dead bugs all over the ceiling, and the sheets hadn’t been washed for 11 days. We also had no access to a refrigerator, which is simply unacceptable for an 11-day stay. We couldn’t freely use the terrace either. The hostess repeatedly suggested we buy at least one of her drinks to earn the privilege of eating there, another of her famous “extras.” Parking took repeated insistence too: we wanted to leave a car downstairs instead of at the nearest free lot, which is about a 10-minute walk up a steep 124 steps. That’s very inconvenient when carrying luggage or belongings after a day out. I absolutely don’t recommend this place.
