Hôtel Roc e Mare

The private beach was the icing on the cake, and the location is another reason I'd recommend this hotel, especially for anyone traveling with a 2-year-old. Our room was modern, spacious, and clean, with a spectacular view of the sea. The staff were very helpful even though the room didn't have a refrigerator. They had one available at reception. Breakfast was good, with sweet and savory choices, and there was a microwave for warming baby food whenever needed. Service at the restaurant was good too. The menu had limited variety, but the quality was still good. We were very satisfied with both the hotel and its service.

The private beach in this exceptional setting felt like paradise, and the beach bar was a real treat. Its food was simple, fresh, and extraordinary. Be sure to catch the sunset! The owner and her whole team made us feel welcome with a warm atmosphere and lots of thoughtful touches. You feel right at home here, whether traveling alone, as a couple, or with family. A relaxing, carefree stay, well worthy of five stars.

We only stayed one night. Our room was decent, clean, and very quiet, and sitting on its terrace with the sea view was peaceful. There was a small downside in the morning when we could hear the upstairs neighbor showering, but nothing serious. The staff were very kind and welcoming, so thank you for a nice stay. The private beach is a plus. We couldn't eat at the restaurant just above the sea because it was full, so remember to book ahead. I can't comment on the rooms facing the road, though I imagine they may be a little less pleasant.

The view is truly breathtaking, and the hotel is spacious. The reception staff were understanding and very welcoming, a real plus. It is somewhat removed from the city center. The rooms, though, are extremely dated. I've never seen anything like it in a hotel. The furniture and fixtures look at least 20 years old, most of them over 30, and the soundproofing is nearly nonexistent. You can hear every conversation in the hallway. Breakfast was a huge letdown too. By 9:30 a.m., there were no pastries left. I've stayed in many hotels, and I've never had that happen. Recent reviews seem scarce, and I understand why. Perhaps they have disappeared. This place has enormous potential, but the gap between its location and what it offers is too big right now. I'd suggest offering fewer rooms and focusing on renovations and better quality.
