Clos Vieux Rochers Vineyard

Rob and Steve made our stay so happy. They welcomed us warmly, were there if we needed anything, and their wicked sense of humour made spending time with them a real pleasure. The wine tour is a must, it's interesting and shows how much dedication and hard work goes into making their superb wines. We reached that conclusion after getting through several bottles during our stay! We stayed for three nights with other family members in the neighbouring gites and had a fantastic time amid beautiful scenery. The gites are immaculate, simply but elegantly furnished, and had everything we needed. Even in the intense heat, the thick walls and shutters kept them remarkably cool. Thanks, guys. We'll no doubt return.

Steve and Rob are the nicest hosts we've met. The accommodation was five star, with attention to detail everywhere, from the grounds to the wine tour and, of course, the beautiful wine. The accommodation was truly superb, and Steve brought us a delicious breakfast. We spent two relaxing, restful nights in May, tasting and buying the lovely wines made by Clos Vieux Rochers. We also bought the best rosé we've ever tasted. We can't recommend a stay here highly enough and will come back.

Steve and Rob gave us recommendations for exploring the area, including nearby Saint-Emilion and Bassins des Luminaires in Bordeaux. We stayed for two weeks in June 2024, and our gite was comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed breakfast on several mornings and highly recommend it. It was a very relaxing stay, and we're looking forward to returning.
