Les Puits

The homemade jam at breakfast was especially good, and there was plenty to choose from to suit everyone. We also had a simple but delicious meal with our hosts. We went for a romantic weekend with a Wonderbox and were really delighted. The hosts were kind and welcoming, the rooms clean, and the bedding good quality with lovely-smelling sheets. We'd come back without hesitation if we get the chance.

The rooms are spotless and set up to accommodate people with reduced mobility. We were welcomed with tea, pastries, and so much warmth. Even during the crisis, these people kept their kindness and good hearts. Breakfast was fabulous, especially the delicious brioches and pastries. We're enjoying our time in this beautiful region of France and will be back soon. Thank you again, ladies and gentlemen.

The friendly owner and excellent breakfast make this charming family-run guesthouse an easy recommendation, whether you're visiting with a motorcycle or not. It has just four rooms and is well placed for trips around southern Alsace and up to the Grand Ballon. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and newly renovated, with a separate toilet. Some of the furnishings feel a little nostalgic.

The breakfast was incomplete. There were pastries, but not enough for all five of us, and the bread was nearly gone by the time we arrived. The butter didn't seem hygienic either: one large block sat in a small bowl on each table, and everyone scooped from it each day. There were only two kinds of jam, neither homemade, and no cheese or ham. The beds were far too hard and creaked a lot, and the pillows were so flat that having one made little difference. The bathroom lacked things it should have, and the room still didn't feel in order. On arrival at Les Puits, we got a poor welcome and had to search for a long time to find our way. The reception was not okay, and the host and hostess weren't friendly. This B&B isn't worth a return visit, and it isn't child-friendly either.
