Hôtel Princesse Isabelle

I woke up after one night with ten bedbug bites. I’m not kidding, it was awful. When I raised it with Booking, the owner denied everything and didn’t want to refund me. If you bring bedbugs home, you may have to throw out your suitcase and clothes. Stay at your own risk.

The staff were the best part, especially William. He was kind, full of useful information, and always in good spirits. He’d open the hotel door at any hour. The place was clean throughout.

The location worked really well for getting around. It’s under ten minutes on foot to a metro station, and line 1 runs about every four minutes. From there, it takes under ten minutes to reach the Arc. Staff were friendly and helpful, too. My room, 203, had been renovated. It was clean, with comfortable beds, a working heater, and a nice bathroom. I didn’t see any mold. Breakfast could be better, but my stay was good and I’d recommend the hotel.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and the price was reasonable. It’s an old-fashioned hotel that could use some attention, though. My room hadn’t been cleaned properly and there was hair in the bed. Fine for a one-night stop, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.
