Chalet lAnglique

We stopped here for our first night before walking to Canigou, and the chalet was a lovely place to stay. Anna made us fabulous food and was so helpful, including giving us a lift the next morning when we had trouble with a car tyre. We also really enjoyed sharing an aperitif with her. The chalet is comfortable, and right by the ski slopes. We'd love to come back for a few days, in summer or winter. Thanks for your time and talent, Anna. Helen.

Hello, I just want to explain what happened with Ms. Arbelet, who owns this chalet. At first, the booking and deposit went smoothly. Then a rockfall and awful weather over an entire weekend meant I couldn't make the trip. I asked twice to postpone it, and the owner agreed both times. After that, a problem following surgery meant I had to cancel altogether. I politely asked whether a refund might be possible. I know it wasn't required, but Les Ramiers, another guesthouse I had booked so I could continue my trip, kindly gave me one, and I'm very grateful to them. Ms. Arbelet only replied that she was entitled not to refund me, without making that response official. In the end, I got a definite refusal. Madame Arbelet, I understand that you have that right. Still, politeness and respect should be part of every exchange, including when things get complicated. Being kind and listening attentively should be just as easy then, if not more so. I wish you well. If I ever go to Bolquère, which is uncertain now, I'd be happy to visit your colleague. Sincerely.
