B&B HOTEL Quimper Sud

We came back in September 2019, and this time the automated booking and check-in were completely wrong. I’d booked two nights, one bed, for two people, but the system showed one night and two beds for two people. I called “assistance,” waited half an hour for a callback, then had to call again. Staff eventually came out to help and were very helpful. They upgraded us to a nice, large room with a balcony. Still, I’m now worried future bookings could get messed up too, which is a shame. We’ll return, hopefully next year. Our stay was good apart from one small issue. On the Sunday morning, a young gentleman knocked at 9.25a.m. to ask, “What time are you leaving?” That wasn’t pleasant and hadn’t happened on earlier visits. I’m surprised B&B management think it’s acceptable. We’ve stayed here so often that the staff know us now, and the welcome has always been nice. The standards have also stayed high, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and helpful staff. It’s reassuring to know what to expect, and the hotel is an ideal base for touring the area. We’d recommend it.

The mezzanine upstairs was unbearable, even with the windows below open. There was no ventilation or fan. When I asked for one, I was told there should have been one, but nobody tried to find one from another room, although some were clearly unoccupied. Our children struggled to sleep and ended up on the floor downstairs. We’d paid for a family room, not one where the kids had to sleep on the floor. I know it’s a budget hotel, but the room also wasn’t ready when we arrived at 3:20pm, so we waited 20 minutes while it was cleaned.

There was plenty of parking, and our room had lots of space. The hotel was clean and breakfast was reasonable, set out as advertised. We were satisfied with our stay, and it’s a good place to base yourself while touring Brittany.

We booked at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised by the spacious, clean room. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially as we were traveling with a baby. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice, and it was good value for money. Thanks!
