The breakfast was generous, with fresh ingredients and all the basics, and our room had a comfy bed, plenty of space, and even a jacuzzi bath. We also loved the grounds and the pool, which was clean, a great size, and kept at a perfect temperature. Since it’s separate from the castle, it’s open 24/7, so we could take a late swim after dinner. We celebrated our anniversary with a picnic, and the staff brought us champagne glasses and anything else we needed. We even got a glass of champagne on arrival. Everyone was welcoming, kind, and helpful. It’s a lovely getaway for couples or families, and we can’t wait to come back. The hotel has recently changed management. We enjoyed talking with the new Hotel Director, who explained what has already changed and what’s being renewed. Some reviews mention dated rooms, but hearing the context made sense to us and left us excited to see what they do next.

We loved the gardens, the pool, the authentic French breakfast, and the walk down to the beach. Our hostess made us feel especially honored as Americans, which meant a lot. We came to explore our family history and study events in our ancestors' lives. Choosing this historic hotel made us feel as though we'd stepped back in time. The atmosphere was enchanting, and the stay gave us a memory we'll keep. We hope to return!

The buffet breakfast had a great choice, and us tea drinkers appreciated having a kettle to boil water instead of being given only hot water. The hotel is also very close to a lovely beach and was an ideal stop for the Cherbourg part of our motorbike tour. Our hosts gave us a warm welcome and did everything they could to make our two-night stay enjoyable. A fabulous hotel, and I'll definitely stay here again. If you saw an earlier unfavourable review from me, sorry, that was intended for a hotel near Cambrai.

I stayed here before catching my ferry, and the location was handy, with several ports nearby. The beach and nearby restaurants have plenty of character, too. What a venue. The castle is stunning, the grounds are lovely, and the fabulous owners and managers look after the place well. They made us feel extremely welcome. I'll recommend it to others.

The staff are committed to their guests and pleasantly informative about the surroundings. We appreciated the breakfast, swimming pool, and lovely atmosphere. We stayed three nights in this gorgeous castle hotel. It felt elegantly welcoming and light, both in the literal sense and in its atmosphere. The stay was close to what you might imagine castle life to be like.
