Those three nights at La Chérine were the best part of my month in France. As a certified translator of La Chérine 🤣, I have to say Frank and Calou welcomed us with so much warmth that I felt like I had French parents while I was there. The rooms and beds were clean, neat and cozy. There was hot water for showers around the clock, and both the AC and heater were ready and worked well. Outside, the wide, peaceful fields were so refreshing, and Beru the adorable dog, the two cats and two horses always warmed my heart. We were lucky enough to have dinner Calou made at home. It was absolutely delicious and felt like a loving mother’s comforting home cooking. Thank you again, Calou, for that unforgettable meal. La Chérine is conveniently close to Verdon, Valensole and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. Frank and Calou recommended them, and they were all worth visiting. I’d definitely return if I get the chance to travel to France again, and wholeheartedly recommend this warm, home-like farmhouse experience. Franc and his wife are excellent hosts. If you get to have dinner with them, they’re phenomenal cooks and there’s plenty of good conversation. Their pup Berou is the site manager, greeting you with unconditional love. The farm cats and their two retired horses are friendly and fun to watch. The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable, with space for luggage and a good night’s sleep. All around are panoramic views of neighboring sunflower fields, lavender and open countryside, with the North winds. This welcoming, sweet place feels like Procance from the soul. I’d absolutely recommend it and would stay again.

A really special, magical spot in the countryside, not far from Verdon and Valensole. We enjoyed the lovely communal dinner with homemade food, and the pool was great for cooling off after a hot, sunny day.

Le Mas de la Cherine is wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by fields and trees. You can read under the trees, take a swim in the pool, or explore the nearby area and Verdon. Calou and Frenk are lovely hosts who bring a sense of peace and relaxation. It’s a great break from a hectic city life. Breakfast is excellent but simple, with homemade jam and bread, and dinner with Calou and Frenk was good. Our room, La Source, had a small bed and a bathroom without a proper door. There are larger, more comfortable rooms if that matters to you. The location is great for exploring Verdon, and Quinson is ten minutes away, where you can rent canoes for the Gorges.
