The countryside around “residence la salamandre” is perfect for a quiet morning or evening walk, with lovely views. We also swam in the nearby river and took a day trip to beautiful historic albi for its churches, shops and restaurants. The apartments were spotless and had all the comforts we needed, and the owners were lovely. One week flew by and still didn’t feel long enough. We can’t wait to return. Thanks to the owners for such great family memories ❤️🇫🇷

We were sorry to leave after two nights. The quiet French countryside and the owners’ warm welcome made it a lovely stop on our way to Spain, with easy connections in every direction. The house is beautiful and huge, and we were greeted with coffee before being shown to our apartment. It was tastefully decorated, with comfortable sofas, a TV, free Wi-Fi and a dining area. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Heated bathroom floors and fluffy towels were a nice touch, and breakfast was delicious, with homemade jam, cheeses, cooked meats and plenty of coffee. The owners are amazing. I’d recommend this comfortable, affordable place to anyone wanting peace and quiet and a warm welcome.

We had a great family weekend here. The cottage was clean and the welcome was warm. The only drawback was the pool: it had an alarm but no cover. Apart from that, everything was perfect!

The clean, carefully kept accommodation was comfortable for our two nights with our son and dog, and we slept really well on the firm mattress. The bathroom was spacious and tidy too. We enjoyed a fresh, well-prepared breakfast from the owners each morning, and our dog settled in quickly. Their dog is friendly, well-behaved and watchful; that’s just his nature, and it wasn’t a problem for us. The pool was clean and a lovely place to relax or have fun together. There were indoor activities too, including pool and darts, which made things feel cozy. Most of all, the owners made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. They’re extremely hospitable and do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. We left Résidence La Salamandre with a great impression and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and a relaxing stay in beautiful Rabastens.

Mart and Marlene shared great ideas for exploring the area, and we even joined them for a wine tasting. We spent four lovely days here during a three-week holiday in the South of France. The property is beautiful, set in a peaceful spot, and our room was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was good too. The pool felt a little chilly, but we still enjoyed a refreshing swim with the owners. A wonderful stay, highly recommended.
