Just a short walk from the village, this was the perfect cottage. The Ranchalaise grocery store is where everything happens around aperitif time. Thanks to our hosts, Chantal and Jean-Claude.

The hiking paths start right at the property, with routes for the whole family, and Lac des Sapins, with lots of activities, is only 20 minutes away. Ranchal is visible from the terrace, and it's a five-minute walk to the center, where there's a small supermarket and a hotel/restaurant. Cours and Chauffailles have all the amenities within 15 minutes, while Lyon, Macon, Villefranche, and Roanne are among the larger cities nearby. We've been coming for four years, and it's been wonderful every time. Chantal and Claude have decorated this gîte beautifully, and it has everything you could need for a vacation. I highly recommend it.

There are lovely walks nearby, and both the village grocery store and restaurant are excellent. The cottage is well equipped, set in a mid-mountain village, and the welcome was so warm. Chantal and Jean-Claude are very friendly.

The hosts are friendly but discreet, and the little house is pleasant and really well equipped. It's an ideal spot to unwind, recharge, and go for walks. See you soon!
