A nice place for people on vacation.

The room we had, the Baroque, was spacious, spotless, and decorated beautifully, with really top-notch bedding. I slept wonderfully. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of variety; the muffins were a real treat, perhaps less so for the waistline, but it’s a holiday! Near Saint-Émilion, with its monolithic church and bell tower, this beautiful place sits in an idyllic setting. Nicky and Denis welcomed us so warmly, and their kindness made us feel comfortable straight away. We shared a drink and chatted about the mill’s history beside the pool, in a peaceful, magnificent setting. Their four-legged companion deserves a mention too. A huge thanks to Nicky and Denis for making the stay so special.

The treehouse was lovely to look at, perched 8 meters up and nicely decorated, but bedbugs spoiled our stay. We had to deal with them using a vacuum cleaner, and airing out the treehouse meant risking more exposure, which was really unpleasant. The breakfast was adequate, though we had to pick up the basket and carry it down ourselves. The pool was uninviting, with green algae all through it. The service didn't match the refined, charming luxury presented on the website.

The rooms were superb and the managers very friendly, so we had a fantastic weekend. Breakfast was my one small disappointment: it felt a bit basic, and the coffee wasn't very good once it had been reheated. Croissants and bread with jam aren't ideal for people like me, or foreigners who prefer savory breakfasts. That said, Nicky's jam is excellent.

The handmade souvenirs were gorgeous, and perfect to take home. This old watermill is full of charm, and we had such a lovely time in a calm, relaxing place that was very clean and had perfect hygiene standards. The owners were incredibly kind and gave us a wonderfully warm welcome. Waking up to birdsong was pure bliss, something I'd almost forgotten. The price is very, very affordable for the location, rooms, services, breakfast, and peaceful atmosphere. Go without hesitation. We'll be back very soon. 👌💝😍😘🌌
