2-room Holiday Flat With sea View in Residence du Bailli, Rayol-canadel-sur-mer

The apartment was comfortable and the location is superb. The beaches are easy to get to, and there’s a peaceful walk to enjoy.

We wanted a calm, relaxing holiday, and this time of year was truly rejuvenating. The residence is well located, with direct beach access, and we could park right next to it. We chose a sea-view apartment, and it was lovely to sit out on the terrace and enjoy it. Check-in takes place at the hotel, where the staff welcomed us warmly. Thanks for the welcome note left in our apartment when we arrived. We’ll keep this address in mind for another stay.

The best value may be outside peak season, and I have quite good memories of our stay. In July 2022, it cost €2,000 for the week, but the residence included very few, if any, services. There’s no pool for residence guests: the four-star pool is off limits, and using the three-star pool costs extra and comes with conditions. There are also few activities close by, so you’ll need to drive. The apartment was nicely decorated and functional, though relatively small. The residence itself was quiet, with beautiful grounds and a well-kept garden, just steps from the sea. A private staircase leads down to a clean, child-friendly beach. Parking was described as free, but spaces are shared with restaurant guests and aren’t guaranteed. The outdoor spots are uncovered and in full sun, while covered parking at the three-star hotel can’t be reserved. I recommend the residence, especially outside the busiest season.

We had a pleasant stay in a nice apartment with very comfortable mattresses and duvets. It was lovely to find the beds made when we arrived. There was a musty, damp smell, and I didn’t receive any services, though I think that may be normal here. I’d recommend the residence.
